From Upstate New York, Sophie discovered a love for wide-open spaces early on. A passionate lover of horses, she discovered a love for the sea after moving to South Carolina. An initial year-long adventure in St. John, USVI became nine incredible years – diving, sailing, and ocean adventuring.

Sophie relocated to Rhode Island during the pandemic and has since crewed on Newport’s 12-Meter racing yachts, captained Newport day sail vessels and joined On Watch Sailing.
