Lou Alice Funk25/07/2024I loved this sailing experience so much! It was my first time to try sailing. I was nervous about getting sea sick but I didn’t even get a hint of that. It was just pure joy to be sailing! Can’t wait to sail again.Laura Pensacola16/07/2024I surprised my husband with a private birthday sunset sale. We were so lucky to have Sam at the helm on the Wren! Although the weather was not perfect and it was a bit foggy, he took us on a great tour of the harbor and was very knowledgeable of the historic sites that we passed and inquired about. The boat was beautiful and he was an expert navigator, able to sail between & around other moored boats that were quite close together giving us a view of some spectacular vessels. Highly recommend this company and will return, likely with kids and grandkids in tow! I booked a sunset sail back in May on the Lyra and Captain Green and first mate Simon helped to make an unforgettable night! They went above and beyond to capture photos and video on our trip and were both great! The sailing experience will be forever embedded in our memories as one of the favorite things we did in Newport. Green and Simon are seasoned sailors and it showed. Very passionate about what they do, we sailed around the bay, to the bridge, while pointing out historical facts and places along the coastline. I recommend the 4 hour tour in order to embrace the full experience. Happy sailing!!!Emily Conklin23/06/2024We had an absolutely wonderful time on the Lyra with Captain Sophie. 6 of us went for an afternoon sail around the bay and anchored in Mackerel Cove for a swim. The weather wasn’t perfect, but Sophie was so calm and knowledgeable so we all were able to relax and enjoy ourselves while underway and at anchor. We sat mostly on the bow and were given cushions and control of a Bluetooth speaker. We had to end our sail early because of thunderstorms, and On Watch refunded part of our trip, which was totally unexpected and very thoughtful. I would have gladly paid full price! Everyone had a blast and we would definitely book again. Highly recommend adding an On Watch sail to your Newport trip!ashley finch22/06/2024Do this if you are in Newport! We added this on to our honeymoon the day before our sailing adventure and are so glad we did. The weather was perfect and Captain Green was not only knowledgeable but also just a joy to talk to. He told us history about the area as well as some local information for travelers. The sailboat is gorgeous, and you can bring snacks! Our two hour private boat tour will be a memory we can never forget… thank you so much for a wonderful experience!Lois Mass03/06/2024What a wonderful afternoon!! Captain Green was so kind to this 84-year-old first time sailor. It was an experience of a lifetime. Put it on your bucket list and keep it done.Cheryl Rivlin03/06/2024Our family of 4 did a 2 hour private sail on Lyra and we loved it! Green and Simon were awesome, the boat is very nice. It was both exciting and relaxing. It was hard to choose with all of the sailing charters in Newport but we definitely made the right choice with OnWatchSailing! Would highly recommend.Load more
